Nancy H. Kohlhoff, aged 73, of Juneau, passed away unexpectedly on December 23, 2023. Her departure leaves a profound impact on her beloved family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Clyman on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Daniel Bohn officiating. Visitation for family and friends is from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. The interment will follow at the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church. Born in Baldwin, WI, on January 31, 1950, to Manden and Alice (Stibor) Sampson, Nancy was a 1968 graduate of Waukesha High School. She united in marriage with Ralph Kohlhoff on October 23, 1971, at Zion Lutheran Church in Clyman. Nancy's career was marked by over 40 years of service at Aunt Nellie's/Seneca, where she excelled as a Data Processor and later as an Inventory Controller. Prior to this, she worked at Brookfield Square and Brandt's.
Nancy's life was a testament to her diverse interests and passions. Her devotion to her faith was evident in her roles as a church financial secretary, treasurer, and secretary for the pastor, as well as her participation in the church choir and bell choir. Nancy also enjoyed fishing and spending time at her Lake Puckaway cottage. Renowned for her culinary skills, she was an excellent cook and baker, known especially for her Christmas cookies. She embraced life with humor and joy, enjoying regular movie nights with her sister Wendy and recently exploring new places through travel. In her earlier years, Nancy was fond of deer hunting, flower gardening, snowmobiling, and playing league baseball, reflecting her dynamic and adventurous spirit. She was an avid bowler, serving as the president of the Watertown Bowling Association and achieving second place in a state competition.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ralph Kohlhoff; siblings, Bill (Judy) Sampson of Mukwonago, Wendy Sampson of Clyman; siblings-in-law, Valerie (Max) Lillian of New York, Neal (Kris) Kohlhoff, and Nancy (Dick) Basol, both of Juneau; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Kohlhoff; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother-in-law, Allen Kohlhoff.
Nancy's life was a beautiful blend of dedication, humor, and love, leaving a mark on those she touched. Her memory will be cherished and celebrated by all who knew her.
