Usually it is a male's informal way of greeting a close male friend. "What's up?" means "What's going on?" and "Bro" is short form for "Brother".

It's just a phrase for saying hi. Like, "hey how are you? ", "how are you doing?", "what's up?". Usually it's used toward a male because of the "bro" which is short for brother.

it's a greeting usually used by young people. it's a shortened version of "What's up" which means "how are you" basically. "Bro" is just a shortened version of brother" again usually used by young people.
